AYG Construction is currently seeking candidates for a Utility Pipe layer, projects primarily consist consist of civil construction, Earthwork and underground utilities including sanitary,storm and waterline, projects will be throughout Houston.
Summary: Under the direction of the crew supervisor Pipe layer will conduct all daily routine activities associated with laying down water, storm, and sanitary lines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities,: Work in compliance with all safety policies and procedures, wears appropriate PPE and utilizes necessary safety devices, Assist pipe-bursting process, makes service connections and lateral replacements, assist in jobsite set-up and cleans-up and other duties as assigned.
Able to lift up to 50lbs, able to work in confined spaces, experience installing storm, swear and water pipe, experience installing water pipe fittings including bolt up, experience with setting up flow line-elevation.
Qualifications and Education Requirements; Possess and demonstrate proficiency in the above responsivities (required).
*Demonstrate good communication and interaction skills
*Accurate, detailed, reliable, and able to follow orders on projects and tasks with minimal supervision.
*Ability to be proactive, and trouble shoot.
*Solid understanding and knowledge of standard field pipe procedures.
*Required to work in extreme work environments conditions. and confined spaces, position requires fit physical conditions.
*One to two years of experience as pipe layer in construction projects/public utilities(preferred)
*OSHA 10 a plus.
Bilingual Spanish a plus.
