Responsibilities of Cable Technicians:
Installation of j-hooks, ladder racks, and cable tray. The ability to terminate workstation outlets.
Label, pull, and terminate the cable Install Cable support hardware,
Install data equipment including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, etc.
Test all installed Cat 5 and Cat 6 cable using appropriate testing equipment
Document and test cable and equipment
Installation of other low voltage technologies such as CCTV, Fiber, White noise. Maintain an organized job site and represent the employer in a manner that reflects positively on the image and reputation of the company for which he works.
Must have dependable transportation.
