My First Year Infant & Caregiver Support Group is led by a child development specialist for new caregivers and their babies up to 12 months. This in-person  community offering is for caregivers and their infants up to 12 months. Due to the higher risk of negative outcomes in pregnant women from COVID-19, Champions for Children is unable to provide in-person group services to those who are expecting. Support services for pregnant women will be limited to one-to-one services only at this time. My First Year provides an opportunity for caregivers to receive developmental and emotional support as they navigate their baby’s first year of life. Weekly discussions include: understanding baby’s cues, mindful interactions and play, creating safe environments, developmental milestones, emerging language, and more. Playgroups are for the registered child only – this particular offering has a no sibling policy. Our agency continues to closely follow and monitor CDC guidelines in respect to COVID-19. As such, anyone over the age of three is required to wear a mask for our in-person playgroups. We are proud to serve any family, any baby in the Hillsborough County area. Baby Bungalow’s mission is to promote happier, healthier families by coordinating and providing programs and resources that enhance early childhood development and support families of children ages 0 to 5.
