Press release from the City of Ames: 12/08/2021 3:30 PM Repairs to the sanitary sewer main on Duff Avenue between 10th and 16th streets will take place from 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, through 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, and from 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, through 7 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, weather permitting. The two center lanes will be closed along this section of Duff Avenue during these hours. Traffic will be allowed on the outside lanes. The City of Ames has contracted with Municipal Pipe Tool LLC and its subcontractors to perform these repairs, which include cleaning, grouting, and lateral lining of the sanitary sewer. All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur.
