CLAIRTON, PA —Police Sgt. James "Doc" Creely has been unable to work this year as he fights cancer. "I really feel uncomfortable posting this as I do not like asking for help, unfortunately it has come to a point where I could really use help," the 14-year veteran posted on Facebook. A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held for Creely Dec. 19 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Club 47 on Division Street. "I am not sure how many know but this year I have been battling prostate cancer, that was spotted during my 3 month scan for remission of the throat cancer," he wrote in the post. "Due to this I have been unable work since the beginning of this year. As of October my short term disability has run out and I now have no income.
