OSWEGO, IL — A 27-year-old man from Oswego was arrested Tuesday in connection to a forceful car hijacking that took place Dec. 4, according to the Chicago Police Department.
Police said Malcolm Upshaw, of the 7400 block of South Sangamon Street, has been identified as one of the people who took a 55-year-old man's car by force in the 2800 block of North Troy Street.
About three days later, Upshaw was seen driving the stolen car in the 9600 block of South Dorchester Avenue and placed under arrest, officials said Wednesday. He was charged with one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, as well as one felony count of possession of 30-100 grams of cannabis.
Police said no other information is available at this time.
