Escape Gig & Wage Slavery! Make $30/hr+ as an Owner in a Worker Coop

Description

Gig work platforms are a boon for Founders & CEOs, but what about workers? The efficiency created by these tech-savvy ventures shave off a lot of administrative and operational expenses, and they 'save' the customers money. But saving is not actually what happens, even figuratively. Some of the largest of these companies aren't even profitable, they're just throwing money at taking over the market. Then what? Competition dies and the prices go up. Workers are often the lowest priority for many of these platform companies, and you've undoubtedly heard stories of the high level of dissatisfaction they have with the way they have to work and what they get paid. Some are happy, no doubt, but I think our economy will be healthier when it's made up of companies that make the vast majority of workers not only happier but financially independent. What good is a company that can only pay people enough to need government assistance and roommates to survive, especially when the people at the top are taking the lion's share of the pie? We can do better. This is about building community and household economics, converting struggling wage workers to profitable business owners, but it's nothing like starting your own business - it's a LOT easier! Why? Because it's a team that employs democracy in the workplace. That's how we make decisions, tackle tasks, split profits, and scale the company nationwide. And it can happen pretty fast with this model and service, due to it's simplicity. That's one reason I'm not throwing out the juiciest of details until I know I'm not talking to a potential competitor. We'll see each others faces, at least digitally, beforehand. I'm an entrepreneur, organizer, and gig worker. I've identified a very simple and in-demand service in an emerging market, and I intend to form a cooperative to compete with the ONE (traditional platform) company currently in the field, also a fairly new startup. About the work: Zero contact with customers and zero selling. Light travel in your immediate area is literally the hardest part, and most likely won't require you to leave your neighborhood. The work takes a few minutes per stop, no heavy lifting! And you can do it in your car, on your motorcycle, scooter, bike, or in your walking shoes. It's not difficult or dangerous, and you'll have a hard time even getting dirty. As a matter of fact, I'll bet you're already doing it :-) We'll start with a virtual meet & greet with a basic overview of cooperatives and the essentials of the business model (yes, details of the work). For access, just use the CL email exchange and I'll send you a Google Form to fill out, then return it with the link for the meeting. There will be a place on the form to indicate any skills you may have that you'd like to contribute. And yes, we can MAKE money while we build it. One last thing - Colorado is now known as the Delaware of Cooperatives. They're exploding! We definitely won't be going it alone or blazing a brand new trail. There are a lot of resources online as well as in the local community that will be tapped, and we'll have assistance from the best in the business. All we need is to build a team and it's off to races! NOT SPAM! Please don't flag, neighbor. Don't be fooled by a lack of glitz and glam here - this is what an idea looks like in seed form. I've got a slam-dunk brand concept but logos, marketing materials, website, backend, tech stack, all those things will be a product of collective effort - It's about what WE can do. December 9, 2021 is Day Zero. ~Fuego
