Holland lop female rabbit

Description
2 year old Holland lop female rabbit. She is very tame, was showed in 4-H in 2020. She is a pet rabbit, but is not spayed, so could be used in a breeding program. She had a pedigree, but we did not purchase when we got her for the kids. The kids have lost interest in taking care of her, so she will need to find a new home. She is used to living in the garage, but could live indoors. We did allow her to live outside in the summer, but with lots of shade. She eats rabbit pellets and drinks from a bowl, not a bottle. We allowed her to have treats occasionally, but with her size, she looks like the kids overfed her treats. She is a very, very sweet rabbit and we are not allowing her to go to just any home. We will be asking questions to make sure you have the proper set up for her. She will need at least a 24 x 24 cage to live in, preferably without a plastic bottom (her feet can't get traction on plastic). She will need rabbit pellets, not treats, to eat on a regular basis. These can be purchased from any farm store (Farm & Fleet, Big R, TSC, Rural King, etc). She is not a "free roam" rabbit, she will need a cage to live in. She gets along with most other animals, that are not a threat to her. We are asking a rehoming fee to make sure that you are willing to give her the care that she needs. If you are not wanting to pay a rehoming fee, you may want to check with your local shelter or pet store to find out what they are asking for an animal that they know minimal information about. This rabbit was a pet with us for most of her life. We will meet in a public place for you to meet her. Please make sure to bring a cage or carrier with you if you decide to take her home with you. When responding to the post, please include any information about your set up, family, or who will be caring for her. BEFORE you respond, please make sure to ask parents/significant other/landlords if you are able to have a pet. Rabbits can live on the upwards of 6-8 or more years, so please make sure that you are ready to give her a good home. It is not the greatest picture of her, but she is a darker color, like a dark cinnamon with some darker black/brown patches on her. She also has one foot that is got a lighter patch on it. She is not used to being shown, so does not have the proper holland lop pose. She should not get larger than her current size. She is a little "pudgy" for her breed, but was "well fed". We are asking a rehoming fee of $50 for her. We had paid more for her when we purchased her and intended to show her in 4-H for a couple of years. The children have taken good care of her and loved her, but it is not fair to her that she is not getting the attention that she once had gotten from them.
