Part-Time Personal Assistant - Casual & Flexible

We are looking for a part-time personal assistant to help with errands and the occasional project. We have 20-80 hours per month of work to offer and can guarantee a minimum, if necessary. We are fairly flexible with scheduling as there is rarely an urgent, unplanned need for assistance. We do, however, require someone who could be available at a moment's notice, in an emergency. Generally, errands and projects are confined to the Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica area. Job requirements: * Car (gas/mileage will be reimbursed) * Clean background check * Clean drug test * English fluency * Ability to present oneself professionally * Computer-literate * Familiarity with caring for pets such as dogs, cats, birds, fish * Familiarity with basic household chores and appliances * Able to carry 40lb box up 2 flights of stairs unassisted What is NOT required: * COVID vaccine is not and will not be required. Proof of negative test may be required for certain projects in the future but would be provided/reimbursed * Past work experience * College degree Examples of work: * pick up and deliver groceries * assist with holiday shopping * wrap presents * make purchase returns * housesitting * assist with event planning and execution * take car for cleaning * interface with vendors at the house * make phone calls, book appointments * maintain basic documents and spreadsheets * receive, open and filter junk mail, break down boxes * take photos of items for insurance * escort elderly parents to the airport This could be a good entry level job for someone who values a flexible schedule, or who has another primary career. There is not much room for mobility in the role so it would not be recommended as a career commitment. It would work well if the candidate lives on the West Side and is able to get to the Pacific Palisades area without a long commute through horrendous traffic. You will not be working for someone famous, in the movie business or in any way exciting. On the other hand, we're very reasonable people.
