Job description SUMMARY: Ensure flowers are ready for production and store appropriately in cooler to ensure proper rotation. Transport flowers from the cooler to production area. SCHEDULE: 4:00AM to 12:30PM Monday to Friday (subject to overtime and weekends during major floral holidays) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Remove the flowers from the boxes or buckets following the procedures established to avoid damage to the flower. Remove the flowers’ sleeves following the procedures established to avoid damage to the flower. Remove foliage using stripping machine. Cut the stems to a proper length to cover the requirement of the flower for production. And ensure hydration Place the flowers in buckets/boxes and store them in an organized way to keep the quality Count and report the flowers that are thrown away in the process. Keep the work area clean and organized Follow established safety procedures making appropriate use of work tools QUALIFICATIONS to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to work on weekends and holidays. Ability to work in a refrigerated environment 35 degrees. Ability to lift, carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to follow directions. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work effectively and relate well with others. We participate in E-Verify.
