We are looking for a unique individual to care for a new community vegetable garden. Location a new residential development located in Fairfield, Ca. The garden area is approximately 1 acre in size and includes multiple pods of vegetables. The garden is fully irrigated by irrigation controller. The work week is 8 hours per day/40 hours a week. Work days are Tuesday – Saturday This job includes: Managing daily garden operations, tending to vegetable & flower gardens. Manage flowers and trees around the perimeter of the garden. Assist in porter services at the garden and surrounding area. Requirements: - Loyalty, willingness, “can-do” attitude, thorough execution, great work ethic - Creative thinking & ingenuity in accomplishing tasks - Experience as a gardener - Communicate with residents of the community (who speak English) This is a wonderful position for an individual who would enjoy managing the day to day activities of a community vegetable garden, interacting with the local residents. Interviews will take place onsite at the community garden.
