The first RE wrote "There was very little violence during the insurrection". You are delusional. You are choosing your own reality regarding this act of terrorism on our nation. Isn't any amount t of violence too much? One officer killed and dozens more beaten is not "very little" violence. Millions of dollars in damage caused by insurrectionists is not "very little" violence. If an assailant beat Trump with a stick during one of his rallies, would you consider that "very little violence". How about rape? If a rapist only rapes one person, is that ok because it was "very little violence". What if a member of the Taliban only kills one American. Is that acceptable because it is "very little violence" Beyond the physical violence and millions of dollars in damage caused by Trump vandals, we should all be alarmed by the INTENT of the insurrection. No person or group should ever be allowed to try to interfere with our democracy. America was founded on our democracy. Our system is not perfect, but our democratic process must be protected at all costs. If Arabs did what the American insurrectionists did to our capitol on jan 6th, EVERY American would agree that this was an act of terrorism. EVERY American would be outraged. Just because the insurrectionists were Americans does not give them a pass. Home grown terrorists are STILL terrorists. This is why our federal courts are handing out 3 year prison sentences to insurrectionists.
