Maintenance Engineer $25.93 - $29.30 per hour Regular, Full-Time Our Mission: Inspire curiosity through engaging science learning experiences, foster experimentation and the exchange of ideas, and stimulate informed action. The Maintenance Engineer is directly responsible for performing and assisting in the facilitation of all maintenance operations pertaining to OMSI facilities. This includes general maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and the preventative maintenance program. In joining the OMSI team, you also participate in OMSI’s vision to ignite an education transformation at the intersection of science and technology that spreads educational opportunities across the Northwest. Position Requirements You must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for an accommodation under the ADA for medical or religious reasons. • Monitor, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair the facility HVAC systems, including electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, air handlers, fans, pumps, cooling towers, boilers, and chillers • Collaborate with Facilities staff and external vendors to advise, coordinate, and accomplish departmental and/or project goals in support of day-to-day operations and strategic priorities • Use HVAC control system to monitor, and adjust building climate controls, including programming of digital set points and control devices • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration and kitchen equipment • Schedule Lighting and HVAC regularly, according to museum operating hours and special events needs; • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, which includes the maintenance shop, mechanical rooms, and storage space Compensation Package • Competitive health benefits. • Vacation, Personal Days, Sick Days, and Holiday Pay! • Free OMSI annual membership • Reciprocal Employee Attractions Pass – valid for two free general admissions to 23 Oregon attractions.
