Description
Riley is a two-year, four-month-old male Goldendoodle. We have had him since he was about 8 weeks old. Riley’s mom was a golden retriever and his dad was a poodle. We do not have papers for him and had him neutered when he was old enough to have the procedure done. Riley is house-broken and can sit on command. He is not destructive and rarely barks. Riley got along really well with another older dog we had in the house and is tolerant of the cat, but he is incredibly jealous and would be best suited in a home where he is the only pet. Riley does pretty well with kids when they come visit but he wasn’t raised around them. We would recommend Riley be supervised around children until he gets to know them. If we had to describe Riley with one word, it would be “lovey.” He absolutely loves to be with his humans and craves physical touch. Riley does not “shed” and his hair doesn’t grow as fast as two of my previous Golden Doodle’s did. I would imagine Riley only needs to be groomed once every three to four months if he is brushed regularly. Riley does not do well off leash. Not even a quick trip outside to go to the bathroom…He will bolt on you and take it upon himself to explore the neighborhood until his heart’s content. We highly recommend a fenced in yard and will give preference to interested parties with fenced in properties. Riley is no exception to the golden doodle temperament. He is very social around humans, is very easy-going, and have I mentioned he is very loving? Riley does require activity – it doesn’t have to be vigorous activity and daily walks would likely suffice, but this breed does require stimulation and activity, which is why we have elected to offer him up for rehome. Our family as experienced a number of unexpected changes since we picked up Riley and we all agree Riley is not benefitting from these changes. We both now travel for work and the teenager is now driving herself to travel softball practice multiple times a week 12 months out of the year and working a part-time job. Riley is spending the majority of the days inside the house and we realize a dog’s life is typically much shorter than ours, it’s time for him to live his best life… Riley is up to date on his shots and does not have any known health issues. We will turn over all of Riley’s veterinary bills and their contact information for you to follow up with. A rehoming fee will be required. Serious inquires can call 815-44one-508zero for further information on Riley or to set up an appointment to see him.
