Guitarist seeking project/band

Hi. I'm Jim. 39. Been playing guitar for 25 years. Studied theory & production in college. I've found myself living a starving artist life because jobs are a waste of time and I'm patently hellbent on music. At this point, I have 3 guitars and a practice amp. What can I do with a practice amp? I dunno...Jazz trios practice with a stand up bass not plugged in, right? Personally, I'd like to do something low-key. Maybe even some sort of project where we just make computer music. I'm mostly into Metal, Ska, and Punk but now that my hair has begun to go grey I mostly play without distortion. Radiohead, Sigur Ros...I dunno. I really like the Punch Brothers. Chopin nocturnes. I'm not saying the starving artist life is permanent...that I won't get a bigger amp eventually or that I won't use someone's extra amp. My dream band is Progressive Ska...think Less Than Jake meets Between the Buried and Me. Yet, I'm bored... I have been teaching myself to shred for a few years. I'm pretty adept at many of the fancy techniques all the kids are doing. I like odd meters. I can sing, play harmonica and drums too. My roommate's kid has a cheapo drum set. My place isn't ideal for practicing but if you got a laptop and a mic we could create something audible here.
