Building Maintenance/ Day Porter

Description

Will have a range of tasks inside and outside of 5 a story commercial building. Duties will include maintaining maintenance in bathrooms, replenishing paper supplies, cleaning sinks, urinals, and toilets, and assure all dispensers are full and operational. Ensure floors are dry and clean. Maintain cleanliness in common area hallways and lobbies and make sure high traffic areas are free of safety hazards. Vacuum and clean glass of fingerprints and smudges. Clean exterior windows from ground floor, semi annually. Carpet clean common areas and suites. Maintain dock, stairwells and parking lot areas clean. Will complete tenant request work orders, such as, spills, repairs and cleanups. Will assist the Building Engineer as needed for repairs, projects and building maintenance. Will train if necessary. Must have good communication and customer service skills and be able to deal with tenants in a professional, friendly and efficient manner. * Full-time, Monday - Friday * Position will involve general maintenance duties * Experienced preferred, but willing to train * We offer a benefit package including: medical insurance, paid vacation, and sick/personal time * Team player attitude JOB REQUIREMENTS - have dependable transportation to and from work - have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability - enjoy working with others and taking direction when needed - maintain a friendly and customer service-oriented approach - must live near Schaumburg, at most 30 minutes away - familiar with labor work - fast paced - multitasker - can do attitude LOOKING TO HIRE IMMEDIATELY Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday- Friday (occasional weekends on as need be basis).
