Infrared Inspection Services & Nondestructive Testing: Vector Mapping & Electronic Leak Detection, Building Enclosure Analysis, Roof Moisture Surveys, Electrical System Infrared Testing and more. The Field Service Technician reports to the Director of Operations. Desired Qualifications: The ideal candidate is someone who has recent (within the last 5 years) hands-on experience with one or more of the following: flat roofing systems, waterproofing systems, building envelopes and construction, and/or electrical systems. Much of our testing involves flat roofing and waterproofing systems, so experience in these areas is especially helpful. Prior field service experience is also desirable. Overview: Our innovative national technical services company, located in Williston, VT has an immediate need for Field Service Technician based in the Metropolitan New York area. Our technicians work from their home bases with administration coordinated by the corporate office. The primary service territory for this position will be New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland and DC. However, there can also be significant air travel to other areas of the country as the schedule requires. This is a permanent full-time position, in which we will train you for a career in the rapidly growing and rewarding field of non-destructive testing. Duties and responsibilities: The successful applicant needs to have good independent work skills and be very organized. The job involves working with personnel from the customer’s facility. The technician needs to have a personable, professional attitude, have excellent communication skills, and be able to interact positively with a wide variety of people. We provide our customers with high quality, detailed reports illustrating where problems are occurring at their facilities. These reports provide essential information our customers use for many purposes. Our technicians must have a highly developed ability to focus on the details of the testing so we can provide complete and accurate information to our customers. The technician will be responsible for submitting a draft of the test results to the office for final report production. Additional Skills and Requirements: - Must be flexible and available to work both days and nights. - Must be willing to travel with overnight stays. - Must have reliable vehicle for your full-time use. - Must be proficient with computers and have good math skills. - Must be able to handle and climb ladders and walk around on large flat roofs. - Must be able to work in positions which require stooping and kneeling.
