Join us at the El Paso Museum of History for the third installation of our new Merienda Talks series!
Join us for “Merienda Talks: Holidays on the Border” with El Paso Museum of History Director Erica Marin!
During this “Merienda Talk,” Erica will be discussing regional holiday traditions as well as her own family traditions in a short talk. Following this, the community will be invited to join and share their own holiday customs and stories with one another through conversation. In the spirit of coming together during the holidays, this “Merienda Talk” seeks to represent the many beliefs, heritages, and cultures present in the Borderland.
Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
✨ This event is free and open to the public.✨

“Merienda Talks” are a free ongoing series at the El Paso Museum of History that explore current exhibits through informal conversation with experts. In Mexico, “merienda” is a time to share conversation with friends over a bite to eat. In the spirit of merienda, our talks bring the public and professionals together to discover exhibits through discussion.
The El Paso Museum of History offers multicultural and multinational audiences the opportunity to explore the dynamic past of the region through exciting exhibitions and public programming, educational workshops, and popular community events designed to amplify the voices of communities historically excluded from cultural spaces and Texas history books.
The Musuem is free and open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 10AM to 6pm. Join us for our family days, lecture series, cultural celebrations and more! Follow us on social media or visit our website at epmuseumofhistory.org to learn more.
