Act as the project craftsman for all projects on a job, from rough framing to fine finish and trim, and including installation of appliances, doors and windows, cabinetry, and floors. Learn more at: GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Foreman position will act as the job supervisor responsible for directing and verifying that tasks assigned to carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors are successfully completed. The Foreman work directly with our production and executive teams to execute specific custom homes and remodel projects. Applicants should have experience supervising job projects from start to finish, leading by example, and be able to develop a strong rapport and communication with subcontractors, workers, and supervisors. Carpenter Foreman will communicate project needs with material suppliers, project managers and craftsmen. Must be extremely reliable, knowledgeable in how to organize and coordinate the various aspects of the tradesmen and apprentices to ensure that the projects are produced to the highest standard of quality craftsmanship, properly constructed per the project documents, on-time, and always completed within the given budget. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Works independently or with small crews at various job sites throughout work area. Willing to work on various job sites simultaneously depending on job loads. Able to read, interpret and understand plans and specifications for each project. Interfaces directly with the Executive team to coordinate schedules, carry out work orders, and adjust timelines. Manages assigned laborers and apprentice carpenters in approved critical path of construction. Recognize and correct hazards, including acting as the competent person, and shutting down imminent hazard work operations. Develop material needs; track, inspect, and verify quantity and quality of materials and supplies. Acts as a liaison between subcontractor tradesmen and construction manager. Review the quality of workmanship. General instruction and periodic review to journeyman and apprentices. Is responsible for daily log reports, timecards and other records including photos. Performs construction tasks as needed including frame to finish, using materials such as: wood, steel, metal, concrete, plastics, and composites of multiple materials. Conduct all carpentry tasks to the highest possible standard. Works on various projects at different job sites throughout the month ranging from small to large. Maintains an extremely neat, clean, protected, and organized work area, on the job sites and in the company warehouse. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: We are looking for candidates who can meet many of the qualifications listed here: Be able to read blueprint and specification plans. The ability to resolve problems with appropriate and timely decisions. Own complete set of carpenter tools for laying out and building a finish product. Is independent and able to carry out daily tasks on time ensuring safe work practices and procedures are followed. Has knowledge of best construction materials and tools, practices, and procedures, understands the critical path of construction. Can speak and write in English fluently. Is a happy, motivated person with a great attitude! Knowledge of Co-Construct, Microsoft Office Suite.
