Old school European Jazz. Chill, improved, masterful but relaxed, and fun. No covers or jazz standards! This is so important these days due to ASCAP threats of copyright infringement. Most venues can't afford their fees so by doing improv and originals the venue can have live music while dodging a heavy fee. Great for small spaces like coffee shops that can't afford ASCAP's heavy fees. If you have played music for many years and are a little foggy about how improv works, I'm happy to help for free, I actually teach music for a living. Bandmates get free help forever. Building relations with venue owners takes time and dedication. There's no room for drug abuse or drama. I've lost good gigs due to a sour bandmate's girlfriend throwing a fit.
