Admission: Unwrapped Toy for an Unhoused Child or Items for the Unhoused
The growing homeless population in California is deeply concerning and Sacramento’s homeless community is large and increasing daily at an alarming rate. With the cost of living increasing, we realize that many of us are 1-2 paychecks away from being homeless ourselves. The stress of not having enough coupled with the Covid-19 pandemic has negatively impacted many people within our community. While we do not have the resources to house the homeless in our respective areas, we would like to come together and do something to help this population of people during the cold and brutal winter months.
Partnering with local gospel choirs from Northern California, we want to spread a message of hope, as well as give back to our community. We are fortunate to welcome Special Guest Brent Jones who will be joining us, along with Huie Lovelady & Unity, Consuming Fire, Capitol City Seventh Day Adventist, Cherael, Chris Lea and Faith Fellowship Community Church.
We aim to collect several items such as unwrapped toys, coats, blankets, beanie hats, gloves, hand warmers, socks, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner. There will also be additional opportunities to give in support of the unhoused. Together we can make a difference.
