Qualifications • Drivers License in good standing • No DUI’s in past 5 years Full Job Description Job Summary: Perform traffic control within worksites/zones for construction projects. The Flagger will direct traffic for road construction crews. Flaggers will work alone or with other flaggers with each standing at opposite ends of the construction area to help coordinate traffic flow via communication by two-way radio. Flaggers often work long hours in a variety of weather conditions that include; rain, snow, extreme heat and cold. Flaggers often stand for long hours with few breaks. Breaks will be determined by the construction crew you are working with. At the same time, you must remain alert to your surroundings and keep traffic moving while ensuring the safety of motorists, construction workers and yourself. Flaggers must work well alone and as a member of a team. He/Her must speak English as they need to relay traffic information to the public, other flaggers, construction workers and/or report incidents or accidents to law enforcement officials and their superiors. Flaggers MUST be professional and courteous at all times. Flagger requirements: • Must be alert at all times • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Recognize not to stand where you cannot be easily seen by motorists • Always stand while flagging/directing traffic • Use proper hand signals with STOP/SLOW paddle • Stay compliant with all safety equipment/gear • Cannot leave your post unless properly relieved • Must be alert to properly escape if approached by an errant or non-attentive vehicle • Must have your certification card in your possession at all times while performing your duties Proper attire for flagging: • Hard hat (Provided) • High visible apparel, such as a retro-reflective vest, shirt, or jacket (Provided) • Fully clothed – long pants at all times • Sign paddle (Provided) • Steel-toed safety shoes/boots at all times Other requirements: • Must be 18 years of age • Must have valid identity and/or right to work documents • Must be able to pass a background assessment screening • Must have ability to obtain a flagger certificate card (We will assist with this) Benefits: • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Life insurance • 401K plan • Great pay plan (See below) Schedule: • 8-10 hour days (Depends on jobs) • Day shift (Primarily) • Night shift (Occasionally – may opt out) • Weekends (Occasionally – may opt out) Must make aware upon employment if available Work Location: • Varies locally (Will explain better in detail upon hire) Other: • Must be dependable with reliable transportation daily to get to and from work • Long-term opportunity • Great Company spirit/dynamics • Looking for people that are serious about employment – Let’s not waste one another’s time Compensation: • Starting pay $20.00 per hour • Every 6 months, $1.00 raise to maximum $25.00 per hour if you qualify and are an exemplary employee • Overtime pay • Opportunity for advancement within the company – Management position starts at 60K with aggression increases for the right person Call Sean Delany at: • 757.618.0368 • Leave your name and telephone number • Leave the reason you believe you will be the best candidate for the job • If the job is still available, you will receive a call back within 24 hours Thank you and look forward to your response.
