Make a Difference Day is January 15th and we're asking the community to get out and get involved! Volunteers will meet on Saturday January 15th between 7am and 8am for a brief orientation. Each person/family will receive the addresses for service. Here are some general information for your consideration: 1. Wear mask (will be provided for anyone needing one) 2. Wear name tags (will be provided) 3. Wear closed-toe shoes and long pants 4. Carry a pack of water bottles for each address (will be provided) 5. Use clipboard with forms (provided) for notes of service performed and comments for the organizer 6. Call the resident(s) before hand and let them you are on your way or have arrived 7. Bring gloves to safely remove trash, boxes, etc. 8. Enjoy meeting your new neighbors! :) We will provide light bulbs and batteries for residents who requested switching/replacing them. Volunteer opportunities available to tackle small non-cleaning household maintenance items needed by elderly residents in the Gilbert area. Services include, changing light bulbs, smoke detectors's batteries, removing boxes and bags for donations or garbage, etc. Meet us at OneSource Shipping & Printing at 7:00 am on Sat. Jan 15th, the address is 1496 N. Higley Rd. Suite 102 Gilbert 85234 (Safeway Plaza). We will distribute and assign the list of Gilbert addresses needing service. Each team of 2 or more will need to bring their own gloves, masks, and ladder. We will provide the batteries and light bulbs.
