Press release from the Port Jefferson School District: Dec. 8, 2021 Earl L. Vandermeulen High School students in Kelly Spencer's English class welcomed Maja Beyer, human resources manager for Jefferson's Ferry in South Setauket. Ms. Beyer discussed employment in the areas of hospitality, recreational therapy, food service, security and health care. "The students asked great questions and enjoyed the presentation," Port Jefferson School District Director of Special Education Dr. Jodi Cahill said. The presentation was an opportunity for students to discover their interests and talents and is part of a monthly program in which guest speakers from various businesses visit to inform students about career options available after high school.
