Press release from Hicksville Public Schools: 12/08/2021 Translate On Thursday, October 28th, The Hicksville Middle School hosted its Wellness Walk. Students through their health classes and some Physical Education classes walked the track during one designated period throughout the day.  The event was held to raise awareness and fundraiser for the COPD Foundation.  Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, relates to the diseases that makes breathing difficult, such emphysema and chronic bronchitis. The staff and students were able to raise money through the after-school sales of lollipops for students and T-shirt sales for staff. The participation was overwhelming and the building has already raised $507.00 to date and the number keeps rising.  Great job, HMS! A HMS staff member Alisa Cataldo walked for her dad during the Wellness Walk at period 8. The Fine Arts Department is proud to present our upcoming 2021 Winter Concert Schedule for the Middle School and the High School.  Tickets are required for in person attendance.
