Learn how to properly prune fruit trees in North Florida. Trevor Hylton, FAMU Extension Agent, will lead a lecture/discussion on North Florida fruit trees and how to keep them in shape, followed by a hands-on pruning session in our demonstration garden’s orchard. We will meet in the auditorium and outside. Masks expected inside The Cooperative Extension Service is a partnership between state land grant universities, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and county governments throughout the nation. In Leon County, the partnership includes the University of Florida (UF), Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University (FAMU), and Leon County Government.   UF/IFAS Extension’s mission is to develop knowledge in agriculture, natural resources, and the life sciences, and to make that knowledge accessible to sustain and enhance the quality of human life.
