Memory is a funny thing! Dot by Colman Domingodirected by Beth Young December 10-18 Christmas is a time for family, memories, turkey, and presents! This holiday, join the Shealy family for their most unusual holiday ever. Dotty is getting older and her adult children are gathering for the holidays. As Dotty struggles to hold on to her memory, her children must fight to balance care for their mother and care for themselves. This twisted and hilarious new play grapples unflinchingly with aging parents, midlife crises, and the importance of traditions. Brookfield Theatre's production is directed by Beth Young. It stars Loretta Fedrick as Dotty with Kendall Driffin, Jeramie Gladman, Dania Fedrick as her children along with Rick Calvo as Dotty's caregiver, Lucy Manos as the neighbor, and Joseph DeVellis as Dotty's son-in-law. "Dot" runs December 10, 11, 12, 17, and 18, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday at 2:00 p.m. There is a free preview for area seniors on Thursday, December 9. Regular tickets are $25.00 or $20.00 for seniors over 65 and students. Tickets are available at the door or online at brookfieldtheatre.org. The cast and crew are fully vaccinated and audience members will be required to wear masks and show proof of vaccination. "Dot" may not be suitable for young audiences.
