NEW JERSEY — In a rarity, all Chick-Fil-A locations nationwide, including in New Jersey, will be closed Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 25 and 26 this year.
Chick-Fil-A is always closed on Sundays, but this year they will close Saturday, Dec. 25 as well, as it is Christmas Day. The founder of Chick-Fil-A, Truett Cathy, who is now deceased, was a devout Baptist.
The restaurant chain is known for being closed on Sundays so employees can rest and attend church.
"Chick-fil-A restaurants will be closed on Christmas Day so our restaurant teams can spend time with family and friends. We will also be closed on Sunday, December 26 – as we are every Sunday — but look forward to serving you when we reopen on Monday, December 27," announced the popular restaurant chain.
There are 53 Chick-Fil-A locations in New Jersey.
