Do you love repairing audio equipment? If yes, we need you! Parasound Products is a family-owned, San Francisco-based, 40-year-old brand of high-end audio electronics (primarily power amplifiers and preamplifiers). We seek a repair and customer service technician to join our service team. WE ARE OPEN TO PART-TIME AS WELL AS FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT. Experience We Seek MUST have a MINIMUM 3 years of experience with the following: • Operating (or repairing) consumer or pro audio electronics • Basic electrical circuit component identification (resistor, capacitor etc.) • Electrical soldering • Operating a typical multimeter (voltage, current, resistance etc.) Optional Additional Qualifications: • Reading and understanding electrical schematics • Audio equipment testing and specifications (THD, S/N, frequency response, etc.) • Can operate and interpret measurements from an oscilloscope • Past work in customer service Responsibilities: • Consumer audio equipment testing (amplifiers, preamplifiers) • Customer technical assistance by phone and email • Troubleshooting of customer equipment by phone and email • Issuing product RA (return authorizations) • Quality control inspection of incoming new goods • Rework manufacturing defects • Help organize and maintain parts department • Manage incoming and outgoing shipment of repairs • Warehouse organization Additional responsibilities/growth opportunities would be added to custom-tailor the job for your strengths and our needs. These could include: making training videos, inventory/parts management, advanced customer service duties. Skills/Abilities: • Can work with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Pays attention to detail and maintains neat workspace • Must be able to lift cartons up to 70 lbs. on a regular basis • Good customer service skills both written and verbal Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, FSA, 401K, quarterly bonus plan, generous vacation and holiday schedule.
