ASHBURN, VA — A social media post on Tuesday showed threats towards Farmwell Middle School in Ashburn, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. An 18-year-old man from Fairfax was arrested and accused of posting the threats. On Tuesday, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said they learned of a threat to Farmwell Middle School. Authorities did not specify the exact contents of the treat, but they said it included a photo of a firearm. Detectives with the sheriff's office identified the person who posted the threats as an 18-year-old from Fairfax, Shane Lucas. During their investigation, detectives determined that the photo of the firearm used in the threat was pulled from the internet, according to a report from the sheriff's office. Authorities did not find any firearms during a search of Lucas's home on Tuesday, the sheriff's office said. Lucas is charged with one count of threats of bodily injury or death to persons on school property, a class 6 felony. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. After authorities learned of the threat on Tuesday, security was increased at Farmwell Middle School.
