SUMMIT, NJ — 'Tis the season to be vigilant, at least that's what the Summit Police Department is urging for residents. The holidays are a unique time for opportunistic thieves to swipe packages from front steps and porches, as well as from unlocked cars. The Summit Police Department released a seasonal and informational video about to prevent package theft in town — they even got a cameo from the Grinch. The department mentioned home security cameras as a good deterrent and the Amazon lockers at the 7-11 on the corner of Brood Street and Morris Avenue as alternatives. Watch the full video:
