Lead Carpenter (San Leandro) compensation: Compensation will be determined by experience employment type: full-time Small general contracting company that serves Alameda and Contra Costa Counties seeks a bags-on job site foreman with wide variety of skills to help with residential remodeling projects. Looking for a person who can work alone or with a crew who can problem solve on the move. We complete a variety of projects ranging from additions to whole house remodels including both interior and exterior work. We have a very steady source for jobs and our business model is recession-proof. This is NOT and entry level position. Knowing when to take initiative is a plus. MUST have experience with most or all of the items listed below. Skills, Qualification and Knowledge: 1. Minimum 5 years of construction experience 2. Demonstrated ability to perform excellent finish carpentry skills -- interior and exterior in multiple styles from period to contemporary 3. Skills in framing and layout including roofs and stairs. 4. Must have strong problem solving and communication skills 5. Must have knowledge of other trades (electrical, plumbing, etc) and clear understanding of all phases of residential remodeling 6. Must have a complete grasp of English language. Spanish is an asset 7. Possess own tools, have a valid driver's license in good standing and proof of auto insurance. 8.
