Please know this was unfortunately beyond our control, but know that we are fully back in business! — Jeri Here are the top stories today in Sacramento: The suspected gunman in a deadly shooting on Interstate 5 in Sacramento on Monday has been arrested, the California Highway Patrol announced Tuesday. David Perry, 33, of Sacramento, was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail where he faces a murder charge. Investigators say the incident was a case of road rage that started nearly 10 miles away on Interstate 80 at Watt Ave. Sacramento County Coroner records show 60-year-old Lufino Mejorado was the man who died in the shooting. According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Mejorado was a retired correctional officer. (CBS Sacramento & KCRA3)Pete Buttigieg, the transportation secretary who holds the purse strings to much of President Joe Biden's $1 trillion infrastructure package, will join the Sacramento Press Club Thursday to discuss what the recently passed legislation means for California. The interview will be shared on Facebook and begin at noon. (FOX40)Residents who are caught wasting water could be fined up to $500 per day thanks to a new proposed water ordinance from the California State Water Resources Control Board. The new rules prohibit anyone from watering grass within two days of rain, washing a car without a shutoff nozzle and having water run into the street or sidewalk. The focus for the city of Sacramento is to educate. Fines for overwatering lawns or gardens can be waived by participating in a water conservation program. (FOX40)One man was arrested while another suspect is still being sought for the killing of two people who were visiting from out of state to Butte County. Deputies said both 25-year-old Ladexter Pelt and 20-year-old John Dubose were visiting from Alabama. Deputies believe 30-year-old Ricardo Banuelos-Villarreal and 35-year-old Alfredo Banuelos-Villarreal killed them inside of a Gridley home. Authorities are still searching for the bodies of Pelt and Dubose. Deputies are still searching for Alfredo Banuelos-Villarreal as of publication. They ask anyone with information on his location to call 530-538-7671. They held a gala remembering the very first Divine Liturgy in Sacramento on a very cold December day in 1921. The Sacramento Valley Chorus flew to Hawaii to perform for the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. On Wednesday, the chorus performed on the U.S.S.
