Wilderness Search Investigations (WSI) is a new professional volunteer wilderness search organization. We help families of missing hikers by continuing the search and investigation in a professional and organized manner after official efforts have been suspended. We are looking for several people committed to our mission to serve on our Fundraising Committee. The primary responsibility of the fundraising committee is to raise the amount needed to meet the proposed budget and work cooperatively with the Executive Director, President, and Treasurer. You will make a serious commitment to participate actively in the work and think out of the box. You will write grants and business letters and plan fundraising events. Additionally, you will regularly participate in board meetings with progress reports. This vital role will help families find closure. The board meets regularly online, and occasionally we meet over lunch. As we begin to meet more in person, we prefer you live close enough to join us. The headquarters is located in Lynnwood, WA. Also, given the type of work that we do, it is essential that you are available and respond to communications in a timely manner.
