Description

CONCORD, NH — Concord police as well as others spent a number of hours on Tuesday and Wednesday searching the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forest for a missing man. The man had been missing since around 1 p.m. People known to the man found his car at the Mill Brook Conservation Area off Portsmouth Street on Tuesday around 10:45 p.m. After a couple of hours searching the woods, police deployed a drone to also search the area. Investigators also received tips about where the man might be based on previous conversations but they were unsuccessful in finding him. At just before 1 a.m., the drone picked up some possible spots to check on foot. At that point in the search, according to scanner chatter, more than a dozen people were searching the area for the man. Other officers also searched the immediate area around the conservation area including in and around Merrill Park. Investigators also gather security video from the area. Around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the man's body was found in the conservation area and removed from the woods by Concord firefighters. No other information is available about the incident.
