AMBRIDGE, PA — A woman has agreed to plead guilty to charges of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of her two children. Krisinda Bright will be sentenced to life in prison, the Beaver County District Attorney's Office said on Wednesday.
Bright was arrested in February for killing Jasmine Cannady, 22, and Kiara Bright, 16, who went by the name of Jeffrey Bright.
According to the criminal complaint, Bright told police she shot Cannady as she was in bed in an upstairs bedroom.
Bright then went downstairs and pointed the gun at the Kiara Bright, the criminal complaint stated. Kiara said "Please don't shoot, I'm gonna call the police." According to police, Bright then shot her in the face.When she continued to move despite the wound, Krisinda Bright said she shot her in the head because she didn't want her to suffer, according to the criminal complaint.
