Police Standoff: 16 Joliet Squad Cars Around Natoma Court

JOLIET, IL — A huge presence of Joliet Police Department officers swarmed a far west side subdivision off Houbolt Road Wednesday night for an apparent standoff involving somebody refusing to surrender to police For safety reasons, Joliet police at the scene on Natoma Court politely asked Joliet Patch to stand several houses away from where many of the officers were gathered. City officers also parked their police vehicles in the driveways of several of the nearby property owners along Natoma Court, and on along other neighborhood streets. Longford Drive is the main street inside the subdivision. One group of Joliet police officers gathered near the garage of one properties along Natoma Court, where they were discussing strategies, several houses away from where the barricaded person was at.
