Culver City Crossroads December 8, 2021 Landscape Architect and Consulting Arborist Pieter Severynen, in two fact-packed demonstrations, will share his 50+ years of experience in orchard planning and planting, followed by actual pruning of fruit trees. Sunday, December 12th, 2021 ~ 1:30 – 4PM: With dozens of illustrated details, Pieter will explain how we select trees for our chaotic climate, how to improve the soil, create desirable tree shapes, and design pruning and maintenance specifically for our area and our needs. Sunday, January 9th, 2022 ~ 1:30 – 4PM: Pieter will prune the Greener Way orchard demonstrating the principles discussed in the first session, explaining why he is cutting as he does, with the tools he is using, and addressing your questions. We will be standing or sitting 6 feet apart & wearing masks throughout the workshop. Space is limited. RSVP for address and reservation. Suggested donation: $25 per workshop.
