BOLINGBROOK, IL — A Joliet man has been charged with three counts of attempted child abduction after asking three girls if they wanted a ride, Bolingbrook Police said. Sossane Seri, 30, was also charged with three counts of disorderly conduct on Tuesday, and taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. According to police, officers met with three girls at 4:49 p.m. on Dec. 3, and the girls told officers about a suspicious person in a green car. The girls had been walking near Woodcreek Drive and Remington Boulevard when the person drove past them and then made a U-turn, according to police. The person, later identified as Seri, rolled down his window and asked the girls if they were cold and if they wanted a ride, police said. Seri also told them he likes kids, and he has money for them, according to police. The children threatened to call the police, and Seri exited his car, police said. The girls ran to the Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital and notified police. Officers concentrated patrols in the areas, and on Monday, they identified a possible suspect vehicle driven by Seri, police said. The Investigations Division found Seri on Tuesday, and he was positively identified as the man in the girls' report, police said.
