Press release from the University of Alaska Anchorage: December 8, 2021 Are you a student interested in paid opportunities in aerospace, sustainability, tech, outdoor gear, and more? Apply to UA CED's Upstart Intern program today! Participants will experience what it's like to be part of a startup company while growing their professional network. Students will be embedded at select startup companies (please see link for more details), with bi-weekly professional development sessions with UA CED. The job will run January-May, up to 20 hours per week, and at $18/hour we pay some of the highest wages for student workers. Previous interns have grown their internships into full-time jobs, gained skills for future employment, and added an exciting and substantial job to their resumes, along with new professional references. Startups hiring this year include The Launch Company, Alpine Fit, One Ocean, Ermine Skate, BabyVend, Karta Solutions, and Ziji and Ana Verzone, LLC.
