General Contractor looking for full time CARPENTERS / FRAMERS who are reliable, hardworking, and work well in a team. Must be authorized to work in the US with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Pay is $20-$32/hour depending on experience. Experience in the Construction and Carpentry industries preferred but will train the right person! This is for full time (40 hours per week) year round work, Monday through Friday from 7am-4pm. Work areas are Portland, Cape Elizabeth, Scarborough and South Portland. Benefits include 401K & 401K matching, Holiday pay, Vacation pay to be discussed in more detail upon hire. JOB DECRIPTION The position consists of working as a team member within a crew constructing, erecting, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, concrete, composites, metal, steel, etc., while safely using hand tools, woodworking tools and power tools. Typical work includes framing, installing doors and windows, siding installation, and deck building. Other duties may include repairing or building cabinets, doors, frames and trim. Additional duties may be assigned, including cleaning up worksite debris and moving materials around a jobsite. Employee should be able to follow directions, maintain a clean workspace, adhere to safety guidelines, and possess good time management and organizational skills.
