Facilities Maintenance Associate Needed

SUMMARY: Perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our 30,000 sq ft facility. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include but are not limited to the following: • Maintain and stock shared spaces, restrooms, and break areas. • Support Production teams and department areas by maintaining necessary equipment, tools, and floor space. • Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks, damage to walls, etc. • Maintain grounds, including parking lot and side yard upkeep, collecting trash, etc. • Perform necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, etc. • Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs • Collaborate with a teams and departments during renovations and facility expansions • Report to manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress • Perform all services in a safe manner following all applicable OSHA standards. • Execute all other tasks as directed by Management. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: • High school diploma or equivalent • Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate setting • Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools • Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills, positive attitude and social skills. • General passion for creative problem-solving • Background in facilities maintenance, machine repair, and/or a proficient knowledge of power and hand tools. • Forklift Certified preferred but not required, on the job training available. PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Include but are not limited to the following: • Walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items. • The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to high. • A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures can range from cool to hot. • Have the manual dexterity and physical stamina necessary for this work. • The employee must regularly lift and or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move more than 100 pounds. • Job responsibilities involve the use of cleaning chemicals.
