HireQuest Direct has immediate openings for entry-level construction workers. SAME DAY PAY! We are offering entry-level, unskilled, and skilled labor positions with direct placement the same day you apply. Additionally, we have flexible scheduling options for those who need it. However, most shifts are traditionally from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and dispatch starts in the office at 6:00 AM. Job Description for General Laborer: Perform general construction labor/job site clean-up. Move various construction materials Engage in preparation work to ready worksite for journeyman employees to perform defined tasks. Monitor processes, materials, and/or surroundings. Perform functions according to company and OSHA safety guidelines. Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools. Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards. Maintain a clean work area by sweeping and taking trash to the dumpster. Requirements: Must be able to adhere to all safety requirements. Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position. Perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. Must have excellent stamina. Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl; potentially for long periods. Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Work safely and successfully as a team. Ability to understand and follow directions with moderate supervision. Ability to communicate effectively.
