SLE, Inc. is currently looking for a motivated equipment operator on our new residential projects in Clark County and the Portland Metro area. We have local projects and offer competitive wages and benefits. This position has growth potential, as we are looking for someone who wants steady, long term employment helping with residential jobs. Department: Field Crew Reports to: Foreman Job Purpose The Operator is responsible for operating machines and working with the laborers to carry out tasks set by the foreman. Operators are expected to help ensure that equipment is running smoothly and to support any decisions made by the foreman and the superintendent. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Operate machines responsibly and effectively 2. Instruct laborers to assist in carrying out tasks 3. Truck driving to move equipment to from jobsites (CDL preferred but not required) Job Requirements and Qualifications 1. Knowledge of how to operate equipment 2. Support decisions made by foremen, superintendent, and the company 3. Clean driving record 4. 2 years’ experience doing residential/commercial dig outs. Working Environment 1. Mainly outdoor field work involving operation of equipment 2. Social contact including working with laborers, foremen, customers, and other builders. Thank you for your time.
