**SPAETH LUMBER CORVALLIS** Forklift Operator Position Summary – Maintain helpful customer service, safely operate machinery, stock and pull product, and load and unload trucks. Major Responsibilities Ensure each customer receives outstanding service Operate machinery while following all safety procedures Accurately and efficiently stock materials Build orders for delivery with a high standard of quality Accurately and efficiently load customers Maintain clean and orderly yard Perform tasks as assigned from time to time by store management Unload incoming product from vendor trucks Work well in team environment Minor Requirements Education/Training: High School degree Experience in a retail environment A commitment to service, excellence and customer satisfaction Skills/Knowledge: Heavy machinery operating experience encouraged Ability to communicate with associates and customers Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills with a strong willingness to learn Exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business Physical Requirements Ability to stand or sit in a vehicle for an extended period of time Move and handle lumber, merchandise, and hardware throughout the yard and store, which entails lifting and performing of all functions as set forth Able to lift minimum of 50lbs Able to maintain in a fast paced work environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
