NFI Forklift Operator FULL-TIME $18.50/hr, plus $1000 new hire bonus 23534 South Central Ave, University Park, IL 60484 $18.50/hour base rate + $2.00/hr for 4th shift The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform order filler or order checker duties in addition to his or her own. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, clamp, push-pull or other powered equipment Pulls and prepares products for shipment Ensures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped Performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security Assists in physical inventories Ensures proper stock rotation Conducts cycle counts as requested Must have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge. Schedule - Shift start: 6:00PM - Shift length: 12 - 12 hours - Days: 4th Shift - Thurs - Sun (6PM - 6AM) during week 1 and Fri - Sun (6PM - 6AM) during week 2 Benefits - Health, dental, vision insurance available after 60 days - Paid time off - 401k Requirements - At least 3 months of previous forklift experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment - Experience with a sit-down or reach truck is required - Willingness to become forklift certified - Excellent customer service skills - Must have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge - Must be at least 18+ years old - Must pass drug screen (cannabis included) - Must pass background check - Can lift 50 lbs Bonus $1000 new hire incentive This bonus will be paid out in two separate installments (day 30 and day 90). The employee must be an active employee when the payout occurs.
