Hello! I am seeking a bass player for upcoming live shows. Could it be you? The band is an established dream pop / indie shoegaze project based in Brooklyn. The project is signed to a small label and recently released a full-length record. I am looking for someone who is available to play 1-2 shows a month with several scheduled this spring. Rehearsals will be one or two evenings per week in Greenpoint until you learn the parts, after which we can practice as needed. About the project: A female-fronted dream pop band (me), currently joined by another guitarist, drums, and bass (you!). The bass parts are simple and sweet. This is not for you if you like to shred. This is ideal for someone who plays "in pocket," wants to learn the existing parts, and is fun to be around! Please note this is not a paid gig. Sounds like: Beach House with guitars, Dum Dum Girls, 60's pop, Jesus and Mary Chain, Alvvays. Interested?
