Join Paralympian Patrick McDonald as he teaches the ins and outs of wheelchair curling!
Join us for this FREE wheelchair curling event, where two-time Paralympian Patrick McDonald and our SCCC instructors will guide wheelchair participants and their family members through the sports.
An adaptive form of the traditional game of curling, wheelchair curling is played with the same equipment and rules of the game. One of the few sports that truly allows wheelchair athletes to play alongside able-bodied players, curling is a fantastic sport for bringing members of the community together.
Wheelchair bound curlers deliver their stones from a stationary wheelchair, and rocks can be delivered by hand while leaning over the side of the wheelchair, or pushed with a delivery stick.
Wheelchair participants will take the priority at this event, though they may also bring able-bodied family members or friends to join and also learn to curl. This event is FREE for all to attend!
The Southern California Curling Center is the home of curling in Los Angeles. The center is the new home of Hollywood Curling and the premiere destination for curling in Southern California.
