We have an 8 yr old yellow lab that is great with kids and cats. We live in the city with a tiny backyard, and she has been an indoor dog. Sadly, she has had soft stool for almost a year, and her "need to go" has increased in frequency so that we are up 2-3 times per night to take her out in addition to all of the day time stools. Oftentimes, she hardly produces any stool, but her "need to go" is urgent. We have tried 3 different vets, and countless drugs and remedies and different dog foods. Our vet has suggested that the next step is euthanasia. This is not acceptable, as she acts and is healthy in every other way other than her urgent need to go. I grew up on a farm, and our dogs were outdoor dogs and slept in the barn or under the stars. I would like to rehome our dog to a farmer or rancher with a lot of property for her to roam and do her business in the outdoors and continue to lead a happy much longer life. I can bring her to you anywhere in Idaho or Oregon.
