THE WORLD’S BEST CHEESES is one of America’s leading importers. We have been family owned and operated for nearly 40 years. We distribute over 4,000 gourmet items to over 2,500 specialty stores. Our HQ is in Armonk, NY. From that location our fleet of 25 trucks deliver from Main to Virginia. We also have a warehouse in Alameda, CA servicing the West Coast. Over the last several years our business has tripled in volume. We offer a number of unique services. We represent some of THE BEST CHEESE makers in the WORLD. We have an import AIR PROGRAM that supplies great fresh products to the top retailers and restaurants in the country. As our business continues to grow and became more complex we have had to expand our business hours to include a full 24 hour day. It is crucial to have a manager in charge that can think on their toes and keep the crew motivated. It is essential that all work be completed for our trucks to leave early in the morning, even the slightest delay means our trucks will be stuck in traffic and not be able to finish a route. Typical hours are Monday- Friday 5:00am - 4:00pm Typical duties include: -Reassigning individual work flow for each worker -Overseeing order production (pulling and checking of orders) -Managing product stocking -Receiving and shipping product -Personal and discipline issues if necessary The job pays a competitive salary and includes benefits such as: -Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance -401K with company match up to 4% THIS IS NOT A DESK JOB You will be leading by example, working alongside our crew of roughly 30 union employees to make sure everything is moving efficiently. Over the course of a shift a single worker may go from putting away stock, to pulling an order, to double checking orders, to staging orders for delivery, to loading the trucks. The single most important trait is that you are able to think on your feet and reassign workers at the correct times in order to keep everything moving efficiently.
